v7.11 hotfix: 3rd March 2026
Fix: Restarting a recording resulted in a crash.
Fix: Scheduled Recordings dialog showed the 'no recordings' message even when schedules had been added.
Fix: Users were seeing errors and crashes in the editor and occasionally the Recorder, caused by a GPU timeout issue.
Adds option in Recorder to turn off use of hardware acceleration during recording.
Fix: Crash on removing a secondary monitor.
Fix: Some Transitions could show a thin border separating the two video clips being transitioned.
Fix: improved handling of import of longer Flashback Pro 5 projects - in some situations the user could not see a progress indicator and could cause errors by trying to import two projects at once.

Online sharing to YouTube and Google Drive added to the export options.
New ‘What’s New’ popup added for first run after updating to highlight new features.
Can now switch between video projects or start a new one from within the editor without having to return to the Videos window each time.
Re-arranged some of the items in the Help tab of the Settings to be split out into their own tabs (Privacy and About).
Removed the webcam preview from the Audio & Webcam tab of the Settings.
Added tooltips to the Player window to explain how to trim the saved clip.
Fix: Valid license key could be rejected when running offline.

Animations for when objects appear and disappear are now available in the Animations tab of the Style panel.
Titles added to the Text tab in the Media panel so you can add animated pre-made intros and overlays to videos.
Line shape added to the Frames elements.
A simple Circle transition added to Transitions.
Position options added to the Style panel for aligning objects to the canvas.
Improved snapping of objects to one another and visible guidelines to make aligning easier.
Line Spacing added option to the style panel for Text so that line spacing can be increased.
Multi-selecting objects on the canvas and moving them as a group is now possible.
Objects can be nudged around the video canvas using the arrow keys.
Shortened the file name for new recordings to make it easy to see the important part of the filename

New Preview window to play recordings, create clips and export to other formats without having to open in the editor.
The Editor is now left open while recording a new video to import into a project.
Recordings and Projects are now organized into their own tabs on the Hub window.
Fix: Hang when clicking the Export button as soon as the editor has opened.
Fix: Hang when an update needs to install but the app is started using the Recorder or Editor executable instead of the standard Hub executable.

New feature: Subtitle transcriptions can be created in a different language from the one that was spoken.
New feature: A set of subtitles can be auto-translated to a different language.

The webcam window can be repositioned and resized while recording.
