- Under ‘Annotations’, click and drag a textbox onto your movie.
- Double click on the textbox to enter and edit your text. Under Properties, you can choose different fonts, sizes, and colors for your text.
- You can set how long you want the text to display for or choose to have the movie pause until the viewer clicks on the textbox to continue.
- Go to the ‘Appearance’ tab to change the textbox's background color, border, and/or apply shadow effects.
- You can position the textbox and change the shape and size of it by clicking and dragging on it.
- If you want your textbox to fade in and out, go to the ‘Transitions’ tab, set the time for the fade duration, and click OK.
- If you want your textbox style to be readily available to use again, right click on the textbox and ‘Add to Annontations tab’. It will appear in the left-hand gallery section so you can easily click and drag to use again.
If you need to adjust when your textbox appears in your video, click and drag the text bar in the frame bar.
