Why doesn’t FlashBack continue recording while my PC is locked / asleep?
FlashBack simply records your desktop. When you lock your PC, your desktop is suspended so there is nothing for FlashBack to record.

After configuring the details of your schedule on the Scheduled Recording window, you need to click the Start Scheduled Recording button to then activate that schedule.
Sometimes these are made from something called ‘layered windows’. By default, FlashBack does not record these because doing so can cause some performance issue.
Some changes in a Windows 10 update changed how WIndows supports webcams which can cause some webcam images to be flipped upside down.
If you have enabled the option to record from your webcam, that will make FlashBack record the video from your webcam but it won’t automatically record the sound as well.

Sometimes a recording session may be interupted by something unexpected, such as your PC crashing, a shortage of disk space to save to or a fault in FlashBack.
This usually happens if your PC’s CPU usage is very high while you are recording.
This is caused by overly-aggressive anti-virus software (usually Symantec) interfering with FlashBack.
This can be caused by overly-aggrssive anti-virus software mistakenly blocking FlashBack from writing to its own settings files.
The probable reason is that the file is located in a folder that is being synchronised to cloud storage. Examples of this would be syncing to Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive.
Very large FBR files may require too much memory to open on all PCs. This is most commonly caused by recording moving video or video games with GDI record mode.
Occasionally anti-virus software will detect a false-positive result for FlashBack and indicate that it may be malicious or hartmful software.

Usually this is because either the wrong Microphine and/or PC Sounds source has been selected or the volume is not set correctly in Windows.

There are a couple of reasons why you may see a message saying that FlashBack cannot record from the selected sound source.
